HAIR NAH IS OUR WINNING GAME!

The winner of our Open Call is Momo Pixel, for her game Hair Nah!

The launch event for this new cabinet is October 2nd, 2021 at Wonderville.

Our original text for the Hands Free Open Call below:

We are ecstatic to announce that Death by Audio Arcade has been has awarded a grant by the Brooklyn Arts Council to build a brand new arcade cabinet!

To reflect on living in a post Covid world, we’re looking for games that can safely be played without using hands. Rather, using feet, using one’s face, who knows! Are you a game developer with a game that could be developed into a hands-free arcade game? Can you visualize how that game could work in a public space? We want to help you make that a reality.

Brooklyn-based game developers are invited to submit their game to be made into a hands-free cabinet in collaboration with DBA Arcade. The chosen submission will be built into a cabinet and presented to the public at DBA Arcade’s gallery space located at Wonderville in Brooklyn, NY. The build process will be featured as part of an ongoing livestream series for members of the public to learn more about the history of DBA Arcade as well as the behind-the-scenes process of building an arcade cabinet.

All submissions will be reviewed by our curation team of game industry professionals. The winning submission will receive a stipend of $1800 and additional financial support to complete the project.

If you have any questions, please email someone@deathbyaudioarcade.com
